Hear Pradeep Navalkar, MBIE's Principal Advisor for ICT Service Continuity, take a practitioner's view of IT Disaster Recovery & IT Service Continuity Planning.

In this presentation, Pradeep will take us through his journey with MBIE, sharing some observations, experiences and practical challenges faced. He will also highlight approaches he has taken in resolving some barriers and constraints around IT Disaster Recovery planning and execution.

About The Speaker

Pradeep Navalkar is the Principal Advisor ICT Service Continuity Management for Ministry of Business, Innovation & Employment, in Wellington, New Zealand. He has 22+ years of experience in a variety of roles in both public and private sectors, including risk management, assurance, ICT and Information management, consulting, organisational resilience, and people leadership. His present role is about improving recovery capability of his organisation's IT Services. Pradeep takes a continual service improvement approach with the IT Service Continuity / Disaster Recovery planning and execution, while at the same time taking a pragmatic view of risks.

Pradeep is a Bachelor of Computer Science Engineering, and holds CISSP, CISM, CISA and ITIL qualifications. He is a member of ISACA, IIA and RiskNZ.
