IITP Work Programme
IITP Chief Executive Paul Matthews will outline the achievements thus far in the context of the overall Work Programme for 2008/2009 including the issues IITP has addressed and is addressing and why. This will include IITP's work for the ICT profession, computing and ICT education standards and the community at large, and the plans for 2009 and beyond.
IITP Professional Certification
Next IITP President Don Robertson, who also chairs the Certification Working Group, will cover the background information and research that has lead to the development of the Professional Certification/Charter Programme. This programme is designed to ensure NZ ICT professionals gain the same opportunity as our counterparts in other countries by having their level of professional competency and skills accredited against an internationally-accepted standard.
The professional certification and recognition programme for ICT professionals is happening - this is your chance to find out more.
Have your say, or find out more
More importantly, however, this event will give you the opportunity to have your say about the current direction of IITP and the profession generally. Whether you think we've got it right or wrong, we want to know about it.
This is a not-to-be-missed event for members and non-members alike. If you're not a member, this is your chance to come along and hear what IITP stands for and what we do on a national level to further the interests for the ICT profession.
Light lunch provided.
Please note that this session may be video or audio recorded for viewing by other members at a later date. As it is possible that audience members may be incidentally recorded, please let us know if you specifically want to be excluded and we will ensure you are not shown.
