Certification of IT Professionals
IT Professionals New Zealand accredits IT Professionals in New Zealand via two professional certifications.
ITP certifications are recognised in New Zealand and abroad and empower IT Professionals by providing independent evidence of competence in software and IT.
2025 Update in Progress
CITP or CTech status with IT Professionals.
We license these certifications from the British Computer Society (BCS) who have contacted us to say they have updated their certifications and have added specialisations to the CITP process.
The changes look great, they modernise the certifications, bring their alignment with SFIA closer and include specialisation paths eg: Cyber Security or Data specialist.
While we establish new processes to accommodate these changes we are putting application processing on hold until April / May 2025 when we will have new information and resources, our assessors will be trained and we will have a new staff member dedicated to work with members on professional development activities.
Chartered IT Professional New Zealand is the international gold standard for Senior IT Professionals refined for New Zealand.
Certified Technologist is the new standard for IT Professionals within the first few years of their career.
