Welcome to the first of 3 bespoke ITP NZ workshops in the series: Moving Your Career Forward

These workshops / webinars are designed to provide practical advice, resources, and strategies in an accessible 2-hour format, allowing participants to gain the necessary skills, tools and confidence to move their careers forward.

Participants will also be provided access to Next Steps online Job Seeker Resources and additional personalised post workshop coaching on an as needs/self or organisational purchased basis.

Overview

Losing a job can be a challenging and overwhelming experience, but it can also be an opportunity to reassess, re-skill, and transition into new roles or industries.

This workshop is designed to help you navigate the emotional and practical aspects of job loss, providing clear guidance on your next steps, insights on exploring new career options, and equipping you with the tools to confidently transition into your next opportunity. From identifying transferable skills to leveraging GenAI for job search optimisation, this session is all about enabling you to develop the skills, tools, and confidence to achieve job application success and empowering you to take control of your career journey.

This workshop includes pre-reading material and questions which ensures attendees come prepared and are ready to get the most out of the course.

Target Audience

This workshop is ideal for anyone who has recently lost their job, including professionals from any industry who are looking to explore new opportunities, pivot careers, or simply get back on track with their job search. Whether you’re uncertain about your next move or ready to dive into a new field, this workshop will provide the support and insights needed to help you make informed decisions and take actionable steps forward.

Presenters

Jonathan Rogers

Offering over 25 plus years’ experience in Human Resource and People Management consulting, Jonathan has partnered with hundreds of private and public sector organisations throughout New Zealand and Australia. He has project managed large scale change initiatives and has designed solutions that have enabled thousands of employees to transition, elevate performance, re-deploy within a company, or exit with dignity as a result of restructure and outplacement. Jonathan holds a Higher National Diploma in Business Studies – Marketing. He is also an Accredited MBTI Personality Profiler and accredited in The Leadership Circle.

Kirsten Nicholl

Kirsten’s own career history traverses a variety of people-focused roles and industries so she can walk her talk when it comes to managing career uncertainty. Prior to her coaching career Kirsten held a range of sales, marketing, customer service, facilitation, and events roles for companies such as Crystal Holidays, Destination Queenstown, In2Food, PitchIt2Me and Leading Mountain Resorts of the World. She created and ran the Queenstown Adventure Film Festival for five years. She has also worked in several government departments and community-based organisations.
