ITP National Series: Developing skills and capability using SFIA
ICT Graduate School
123 Vogel Street
One of the biggest challenges to growth and innovation in the tech sector is finding and building skills and talent.
Only a few tech teams have a structured approach to measuring and developing skills in their IT staff, but this is changing rapidly with the growing adoption of SFIA*, the world's most widely-used competency framework for IT.
But where to start?
In this presentation, tech guru Gareth Cronin will outline how he developed a framework for measuring and building skills in some of New Zealand's best known tech teams, and what has evolved over a number of years to give technology leaders practical tools to objectively assess performance and help build skills in their teams.
(* SFIA = Skills Framework for the Information Age - an independently governed, internationally accepted way to describe skills in ICT).
ITP wishes to thank the ICT Grad School in Dunedin for providing the venue for this presentation.
