ITP is New Zealand's tech professional community. ITP members care about professional practice, subscribe to a Code of Ethics, and work hard to improve themselves. ITP helps by providing over 200 networking and educational events and short courses each year, recognising professionals via Chartered IT Professional and Certified Technologist certifications and much more.

ITP does two things: develops professionals and the professional community, and works on behalf of the community as both the voice to Government and via a broad range of other initiatives.

ITP is at the forefront of reforming tech-related education in schools and at tertiary level, as well as running the hugely successful TechHub programme introducing thousands of kids to a future career in tech, and is involved in various other initiatives such as the Cloud Computing Code of Practice.
